Mercye is dedicated to helping out in any way she can and is excited about her jr. high girls. During her first encounter with the teens she was accidentally smacked in the face with a dodgeball… and she still kept coming back! Now that’s dedication.

Cory Gilbride -
High School Leader/Worship
Cory is currently a student at Point Loma Nazarene University. He helps out with our high school boys and assists our worship team. He has this to say- “I am a broke college student who enjoys kickin' it with my homies and rocking out with my socks out”

Andrea “Fern” Mayer - Jr. High Leader
“I love to volunteer; help people, especially children and teens. I love the outdoors, adventures, wildlife, blading, surfing, bicycling, rock climbing, kayaking, hanging out at the beach, backpacking, camping, horseback riding, music, writing poetry and songs, gardening, shopping, bowling, planning the non-profit afterschool program and summer camp that I hope to start someday.”

Coda Taylor - Jr. High Leader
Coda is a happy little man who enjoys boxing, basketball, football, surfing, snowboarding, the Lakers, and hanging out with friends. He is always willing to talk to you… especially when it’s about a movie he didn’t like! We are happy to have him serving at New Naz.

Robert Moore - High School Leader
Robert has this to say about working with teens- “I like working with teenagers because they are wild and full of life… and they smell bad and don’t care!” His favorite verse- 1st Thess. 5:15-1
